Tallahassee Equality Action Ministry TEAM is a congregation-based community
organization comprised of 19+ faith based groups united to hold systems accountable to their
intended purposes. TEAM brings diverse people together (racial, ethnic, social/economic, faith)
to redress community concerns that affect poor and low-income people.

As the City of Tallahassee grows, however, it is becoming more and more apparent
that TalTran is not growing with it to meet the needs of our residents.

Public education in Florida is in a state of crisis. Statistics show that 40% of
Florida's 4th graders are reading below grade level.
|
|
|
|
|
According to local statistics, Tallahassee’s homeless population is increasing
while funding for local service agencies is stagnant or decreasing.
|
|
|
|
|
Because our local clinics are already operating at capacity, there is no place for
many uninsured individuals to go, so many seek care from the local ERs.
